GreenArc is pursuing a two-pronged strategy:
a. To create an enhanced multi-functional, landscape-scale environment
b. To enable the public to be comfortable with the countryside and readily enjoy it
To ensure momentum is maintained a Steering Group meets regularly to deliver the GreenArc and is supported by a much wider partnership.
Steering Group membership includes:
City of London, Essex County Council, Forestry Commission, Greater London Authority, Hertfordshire County Council, Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust, Lee Valley Regional Park, Natural England, Woodland Trust and The National Trust.
Partnership includes:
BTCV, CLG, The Deer Initiative, FWAG, Groundwork Hertfordshire, Land Trust, Thames Chase, London Parks and Green Spaces, RSPB, Essex Wildlife Trust, Harlow Council, Defra, Epping Forest District Council and British Waterways.
